NPS Highly Commended at prestigious planning awards

A project to identify, secure and deliver sites for new schools in Attleborough, Norfolk to meet a growing demand for pupil places and improve educational attainment for ‘all’ has been recognised at the RTPI East of England Awards 2018.

The ‘Planning and Delivery of Schools, Attleborough’ scheme submitted by the NPS Planning Consultancy Team on behalf of Norfolk County Council was Highly Commended for Planning Excellence.

Over the course of the project, NPS Group delivered:

  • a new primary school, named Rosecroft Primary School
  • the expansion of a junior school to become a second primary school, named Attleborough Primary, and
  • a new SEN school in Old Buckenham named Chapel Green School.

The project has provided a more sustainable and inclusive form of school provision in the area which has eased the demands of a growing community.

Richard Smith, Senior Planning Consultant, attended the awards ceremony held at Girton College, Cambridge to receive the prize. He said: “Being shortlisted and subsequently highly commended at these Awards is a reflection of the quality and excellence that the NPS Planning Consultancy Team has achieved.”
