A flagship regeneration project by Waltham Forest Council overseen by NPS Group has reached its first milestone with the handover of a commercial unit which will be leased to the Co-Op, and opens next month.
NPS Group is delighted to be working with the London Borough of Waltham Forest on this significant project at Marlowe Road, providing project management and quantity surveying services to the Council.
Phase 1A is currently two months ahead of schedule and it is now expected that by November 2018, 34 of 150 overall social rented units, 18 shared ownership units, 51 of the 268 private sale units, 1 of 7 commercial units and an energy centre, will be handed over for occupation and use. In total, the scheme has five phases and is estimated to take six years to complete. Construction is being carried out by Countryside Properties Ltd.
Marina Robertson, Director of Operations for NPS London stated: “We are delighted and very proud to play a key role in the delivery of this fantastic scheme. The team has put in a lot of hard work and this has paid off with the smooth handover of the Co-Op as part of Phase 1A. We very much look forward to seeing shops and homes occupied and communities continue to thrive in this truly fabulous part of London.”
