Education

We create and maintain high quality, innovative spaces that inspire, motivate and provide the best possible environment for teaching and learning, so that young people can flourish and reach their full potential.

NPS is a major contributor to the development of flexible and sustainable learning environments across the UK from primary and secondary education through to Children's Centres, academies, colleges and universities. Our understanding and experience in this field covers the entire lifecycle of built assets, from the initial concept through feasibility, design, procurement and construction as well as on going asset and facilities management. This means that we can deliver considerable value for our clients. We listen to and engage with stakeholders which enables a collaborative approach to meet the needs of users now and into the future.

We can help to unlock a variety of solutions in order to fund your project – something which is proving increasingly useful, given the reduction in availability of capital funds for new school buildings.

With our wealth of knowledge in the education sector and our understanding of the drivers and constraints, we are ideally placed to help deliver innovative, sustainable and affordable solutions that meet the education objectives of a project or programme.

Our approach

Pro-bono work for a special school

We have done a free feasibility study for a Special School in Barnstaple, Devon, to help a building project move forward.

Unobtrusive building extension

We designed and project managed the construction of an ‘outdoor classroom’ In South Devon to blend in with the adjacent architecture.

Whole life costing of fire doors

We help our clients to minimise their long term outlay by balancing capital expenditure against operational maintenance costs.

Dealing with works completed on a sensitive site

NPS was instructed to provide a two-classroom extension. However, the site was possibly one of the most complicated NPS has had to deal with.
