NPS has been a member of the Prince of Wales led Mayday network since 2009 and has recently reported its carbon footprint to the initiative whose objective is to reduce the UK’s admissions of green house gases.
By submitting a report on our carbon footprint to the network, NPS along with other companies will be helping them compile a report on how some of UK industry is responding to this challenge.
The Mayday team acknowledged our support by saying: ‘Thank you for responding to the request from HRH the Prince of Wales and reporting your carbon footprint to the Mayday Network. We believe that measuring and reporting carbon emissions is a crucial part of responding to climate change and hopefully you will agree that it is a useful exercise that has helped you to manage your company more effectively. We are processing the data and will be releasing a report this autumn’.
The Prince’s Mayday Network, convened by Business in the Community, is a collaboration of businesses at all stages on the low carbon journey: some leading, some just starting out. Named after the international ‘Mayday Mayday’ distress signal and founded by HRH The Prince of Wales in 2007, its aim is to inspire, engage, support and challenge as many businesses as possible as they work together towards a sustainable future.
