Footprint, the magazine for healthy and sustainable schools across Norfolk, has recently seen success at a national level winning two major awards. The magazine which was created by NPS Graphic Designer, Adam Buxton, is produced by Norfolk County Councils Children’s Services and Planning and Transportation Departments, which make up the Healthy and Sustainable Schools Partnership.
In October, Footprint was nominated for a national CIPR LPS (Chartered Institute of Public Relations – Local Public Services) excellence award, under the category of Internal Newspaper or Magazine, and received the ‘Highly Commended’ accolade.
It was also nominated for a highly prestigious Green Apple award, which celebrates environmental best practice, and in a ceremony held at the Houses of Parliament in November, Chairman of NCC Shelagh Gurney, NCC Councillor for Environment and Waste Ian Monson, and Cressida McLaughlin from the Schools Waste Action Club picked up the Bronze award in the County Councils category.
