The NPS Group is a major contributor to the development of flexible and sustainable learning environments across the UK.
Throughout our network of offices, our locally based education teams have been involved in the delivery of a vast range of education projects from Children's Centres through to colleges and universities. Our understanding and experience in this field covers the entire lifecycle of built assets, from the initial concept through feasibility, design, procurement and construction as well as ongoing asset and facilities management. This means that we can deliver considerable value for our clients.
We aim to help all learners achieve their potential by designing thoughtful educational facilities that support the delivery of transformational teaching and learning. We have a reputation for listening to and engaging with stakeholders throughout the design process. This collaborative approach enables learning environments to be created that will meet the needs of users both now and into the future and will contribute positively to the well being of communities.
Our team of educational consultants and associates can provide a range of specialist advice to local authorities, schools and design teams. Our technical experts provide strategic advice and support in the expansion, relocation or refurbishment of learning environments. This will prove increasingly useful, given the reduction in availability of capital funds for new school buildings. Our creative approach to the remodelling of schools ensures we deliver more for less on every project.
We have considerable expertise in the BSF sector, providing client advice to the government Department for Education (DfE), as well as to local authorities. NPS are partners within the Engage North Lincolnshire LEP, providing strategic direction as well as design and other services for their BSF programme. In addition, NPS successfully secured 'preferred bidder' status for the Lambeth LEP, as part of the Engage consortium. Our design for the £31m Bideford Community College, due for completion in late 2010, won the 'Most Sustainable School Design' category at the Excellence in BSF Awards 2008.
This experience in the secondary sector is matched by our extensive involvement in nurseries, and primary and special school projects. With our wealth of knowledge in the education sector and our understanding of the drivers and constraints, we are ideally placed to help deliver innovative, sustainable and affordable solutions that meet the education objectives of a project or programme.
