Working as an integral part of a multi-disciplinary company, our Suitability team has an extensive background in education within both Primary and Secondary phases. All have been involved in the AMP process since 2000 through carrying out data collection surveys, data analysis and as LEA appraisers for the DfES. They have also built up a sound understanding of the Suitability issues relating to the full range of Special schools. Since 2001 the team has worked extensively with Local Authorities throughout England to ensure that their data is more than just DfES compliant.

With ‘Building Schools for the Future’, PFI projects and Local Authority led Capital Programmes being planned, it is essential for decisions to be based on sound data. Working to a rigorous exemplar methodology and supported by Curriculum Analysis for all phases and PDA web-based technology, the team can ensure that data collection is accurate, consistent and quality assured. Working closely with AMP managers, the team can develop, extend and/or support the Local Authority’s in-house capability through bespoke training programmes and enable the development of a secure methodology statement.

We now also provide training and development opportunities for those with specific responsibilities for Asset Management Planning (AMP) in schools. Our series of workshops, regional training events and/or on-site support programmes are designed to enable individuals within a school, to develop the competence and confidence that will improve the quality of their AMP processes at a level appropriate to their role and context.
